Karate is a martial art from the Far East which was invented in the 19th century. It is a fusion of Japanese and Chinese influences. Karate is primarily an unarmed martial art that uses striking, throwing, kicking and blocking techniques, as well as foot sweeps. Advanced practitioners also learn to master chokeholds and techniques involving nerve centers and pressure points.

Our dojo focuses on the sporting aspect of karate. We teach agility and elasticity. Competitions put our karatekas skills to the test.
